Neighborhood Watch (2024)

The pixel is our God, and yet it is tainted and deceptive. Appropriating images from Google Street View, this is an exploration into the extent to which we accept constant surveillance in a digital age. Intervention here takes the form of wheat-pasting Street View screenshots throughout a Chicago neighborhood. How do we react when confronted by the fact that we are monitored continually as we navigate the world?
