ABOUT WILLOWWillow Roberts is a Chicago-based photographer , mixed media artist, and graphic designer. Although she primarily works with a camera, she is interested in creating works which are materially elusive. She engages with alternative printing processes, creating a balance between obscuring and revealing the most vulnerable parts of the human condition.

PHILOSOPHYWillow believes in the photograph as a tool for self-exploration, and is deeply interested in reflecting the mindspace of an individual through her work. She brings into question how our environments come to resemble our inner selves, and is attracted to the myriad ways humans leave their trace in an urban environment. Willow relishes in finding new and unexpected ways to communicate through photography, whether through unconventional means of installation or layers of digital and physical collage.
